Five popular Jane Iredale products are now recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation as effective aids in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin, including sunburn and possibly premature aging. Each of these products underwent extensive testing in order to receive the special Seal of Recommendation, which is awarded to products the Skin Cancer Foundation recommends as an effective ultraviolet (UV) sunscreen. The five products that will proudly wear the Seal include Amazing Base, PurePressed Base, Dream Tint, LipDrink and Powder-Me SPF in Tanned and Translucent.

The Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation has set the criteria for effective UV protection for more than 29 years. Products were evaluated by the Foundation’s Photobiology Committee, composed of leading U.S. dermatologists who are experts on sun damage and sun protection. Secondly, each product underwent extensive testing to obtain the value and interaction between UV rays and the skin to ensure that each product did not cause irritation and phototoxicity on the skin.
